A Swedish-born beauty took the witness stand in Manhattan Tuesday against a Wall Street financier she claims became obsessed with revenge after she filed an $850 million sexual-harassment suit against him.
Benjamin Wey, 42, who specializes in Chinese corporate mergers, sent “detectives” to “stalk” her and spread lies about her being a partying booze hound and drug addict, Hanna Bouveng, 25, said of her ex-boss.
“I’m so scared he is going to send people after me,” Bouveng told Manhattan federal Judge Paul Gardephe in a bid for a court order prohibiting Wey, the CEO of New York Global Communications, from further alleged harassment.
“I feel so violated of my own freedom,” she told the judge in heavily accented English.
Wey followed Bouveng to Sweden, popping up at a Stockholm cafe where she was working and shouting, “Wow!” she testified.
Wey has also used a Web site he runs, TheBlot Magazine, to spread lies about her in order to get her to drop the suit, Bouveng said.
Gardephe declined to issue a temporary restraining order Tuesday, but could choose to do so at a later date.
