NYC board goes gaga for Gosling meme

Acting more like lovesick 14-year-old girls than a serious city agency, the Conflicts of Interest Board is trying to lure city workers to come in for ethics advice by tweeting out a photo of sexy Hollywood hunk Ryan Gosling.

Accompanying a picture of the actor on its Twitter feed is the line, “Hey girl, the COIB is there for you”

Included is a phone number for inquiries — to the COIB, not Gosling.

The board advises city workers on ethics matters, and issues fines to those who abuse the rules.

Alex Kipp, director of the unit that put up the photo, said it regularly throws up attention-getting graphics that delight some city workers while confounding others.

Other quirky memes posted by the COIB include references to “South Park,” Batman, “Alice in Wonderland” and “Star Wars.”

The feed has only 335 followers out of the city‘s more than 325,000 employees.
