New York’s Finest will be holding a fundraiser Thursday for the daughter of two Brooklyn cops after she was severely injured in a car crash caused by a robbery suspect fleeing police.
Off-duty NYPD Sgt. Nancy Lawrence and her 19-year-old daughter, Natalie Ferber, were driving in Marine Park in November when the crash occurred.
Both women were seriously injured. Lawrence, who works in the 76th Precinct, suffered multiple broken bones, while Ferber, a college student, was left in a coma with significant brain damage.
She is currently in rehabilitation at the Kessler Institute in New Jersey.
Robbery suspect Randy Edwards was fleeing police when he lost control of his van and smashed into the women’s car.
Natalie’s father, Dennis Ferber, is a lieutenant in Brooklyn’s 70th Precinct.
The benefit will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Bay Ridge Manor, 476 76th St., in Brooklyn to raise money to help pay the family’s medical expenses.
