Simon’s final ‘60 Minutes’ story to air Sunday

CBS will air the late Bob Simon‘s final “60 Minutes” story this Sunday — with a longer tribute to him airing Feb. 22.

The veteran “60 Minutes” correspondent, 73, was killed Wednesday night in a car crash on the West Side Drive after his limo driver lost control of the vehicle.

At the time of his death, Simon was working on a “60 Minutes” story with his daughter, Tanya — a producer for the show — on a segment about Ebola.

That segment will air Sunday (7 p.m./Ch. 2) and will include a “short tribute” to Simon, according to a “60 Minutes” spokesman.

The longer tribute to Simon airs the following Sunday, he said.
