Hotel magnate wants his $2 million worth of furniture back

Hotel magnate Henry Silverman wants his $37,000 couch — and he wants it now.

The Cendant Corp. executive has sued a Bronx storage company for allegedly holding numerous pieces of custom made home furniture hostage — even though Silverman paid more than $2.1 million for the items and about 200 other pieces.

Creative Interior Moving & Storage is refusing to release the 90-plus items at the direction of designer to the stars Richard Mishaan, the lawsuit claims.

Mishaan was hired in 2013 to create the pieces for Silverman’s homes in Manhattan, the Hamptons and the Bahamas.

He was fired last September after Silverman learned the designer had failed to order or start work on about 50 items, according to the lawsuit.

Mishaan billed more than an agreed-upon 30 percent markup, swapped out some items for cheaper versions and didn’t take measurements before constructing custom pieces, according to a complaint filed in a related arbitration proceeding.

Mishaan did not return calls for comment.
