Cops hunt for serial Men’s Warehouse suit thief

The NYPD is going to like the way he looks — once he’s in cuffs.

A serial suit thief who appears to be in serious need of a wardrobe upgrade has robbed the same Manhattan location of Men’s Wearhouse three times, taking a cumulative $18,000 worth of clothes, police said.

Cops on Wednesday released a photos of the alleged crook as he hauled a trash bag full of stolen garments through a subway turnstile in Midtown.

He first broke into the Madison Avenue store at about 3:30 a.m. on Nov. 17 through a glass door.

He struck again five days later at about 8:15 p.m. He got about $4,000 worth of clothing in the first heist and $3,000 in the second, cops said.

On Jan. 27, he grabbed $10,900 in duds at around 3:30 a.m., again breaking a glass door, police said.

That time, he was seen on surveillance video, cops said.

Men’s Wearhouse is a Houston-based national clothing chain that offers low-to-mid-price suits and other menswear.

In its well-known TV ads, company founder George Zimmer famously promises, “You’re gonna like the way you look, I guarantee it.”

The suspect is about 6 feet tall, 180 pounds and 45 to 55 years old.

He was last seen entering the subway station at 42nd Street and Fifth Avenue wearing a cap and a wool coat.

He topped off his ensemble with a poorly matched trash bag that he was using to haul his allegedly ill-gotten goods.

A representative for the store did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

It’s been a tough go for the famed garment store, with bearded TV pitchman Zimmer being ousted in October 2013 after 40 years with the company.

The 66-year-old’s Zimmer’s face and voice helped popularize Men’s Wearhouse and eventually became Internet memes.
