A man allegedly tried to rob a Morris Heights Chinese restaurant at gunpoint. The gunman walked into the No. 1 China restaurant at 8:35 p.m. on Feb. 15 and whipped out a pistol, police said. A 23-year-old clerk who was behind the register quickly ran to the back of the store, and the would-be thief fled empty-handed, cops added. No one was injured. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark coat and a mask that covered half of his face.
Queens
All they were missing was a justice of the peace. Two thieves made off with a diamond ring and $3,000 in cash after breaking into a Flushing home, cops said. A man who was walking a small dog on Parsons Boulevard at around 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 25 walked up to a home and rang the bell while a gal pal pulled up in a white 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe, police said. The dog-walking couple then went to the back of the house, broke a glass sliding door and let themselves in, cops said. They scooped up a diamond ring and the cash, and then fled in the SUV, police added.
Police are on the hunt for a man who tried to abduct an 11-year-old boy in Far Rockaway, according to law-enforcement sources. The suspect pulled up to the boy in a black Nissan Altima with chrome trim on Mott Avenue and Bay 24th Street at around 2 p.m. Saturday, cops said. The creep ordered the boy to get into the car, but the child refused and the suspect fled, according to police.
Guess he wasn’t there for the $5 footlong. A hulking thief robbed a Subway restaurant in Woodhaven and fled with cash, cops said. The 6-foot-2, 250-pound suspect walked into the sub shop on Jamaica Avenue at 92nd Street at 4:40 p.m. on March 8 and announced he had a gun, police said. The suspect then snatched $500 from the register and fled, according to cops. He was last seen wearing a hat, a black coat and sneakers.
Two men rammed into and then carjacked a BMW in Cambria Heights during rush hour on Monday, police said. A 30-year-old man was behind the wheel of his car with a 28-year-old man riding in the passenger seat at around 5:40 p.m. when they got stuck in traffic on the westbound side of the Belt Parkway, near the ramp for the Southern State Parkway, cops said. Two men, believed to be about 25 years old, were inside a gray Infiniti that rear-ended the BMW, police said. One of the thieves jumped out of the Infiniti and jumped into the black BMW while showing a silver firearm, cops said. The gunman drove to North Conduit Avenue while the accomplice stayed in the Infiniti, following behind the stolen car, cops said. It wasn’t immediately clear how quickly the victims fled their car but no injuries were reported, police said.
Manhattan
Cops are looking for a woman who allegedly smashed a bottle over a bar patron’s head on the Lower East Side. The suspect was with a man when they got into an argument with a 33-year-old man who asked the woman to leave The Whiskey Ward bar on Essex Street at around 8:15 p.m. on March 8, police said. The woman swung the bottle, hitting the victim and leaving a gash on his head, according to cops. The victim was taken to Woodhull Medical Center for treatment.
Staten Island
It wasn’t a happy ending for two prostitutes who were locked up after agreeing to perform sex acts on undercover cops in Dongan Hills on Saturday, authorities said. Jishun Li, 48, agreed to give an undercover cop a hand job for $40 inside Royal Spa on North Railroad Avenue at around 5 p.m., police sources said. Two hours later, Geng Shi Yah, 51, agreed to have sex with another undercover officer for $140 inside a building on Ellis Street, police sources added. Both sex workers were slapped with cuffs and charged with prostitution, a Criminal Court complaint reveals. Neither woman had a massage license, law-enforcement sources said.
