The 5 most tragic ‘Real Housewives’ feuds

Feuds are a dime a dozen on “The Real Housewives” series, but few are as tragic as the rift between sisters Kim and Kyle Richards on “Beverly Hills.”

Their argument is unlike most seen on “The Housewives.” It’s not about who didn’t show up for someone’s charity event or who didn’t call to congratulate someone after they got a memoir deal. There’s genuine pain, and grimy as that might make viewers feel, it’s fascinating television.

These are the most genuine feuds from the Housewives shows.

Kim and Kyle Richards

On Tuesday’s night’s episode, the two revived their infamous limo argument from the first season, in which Kim screamed, “You stole my house!” In the new episode, Kim found herself infuriated by Kyle’s invitation to her new home, as it reminded her of the house their late mother left them. Kyle says she bought out Kim’s share of the house; Kim says she stole it.

While the show tends to focus on Kim’s sobriety struggles and the challenges it creates for the sisters, it’s clear that they have some real deep-rooted stuff going on.

NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak

On the surface, the end of NeNe and Kim’s friendship was just another screaming match, as they ripped into one another in a heated showdown on a tour bus. But for fans of the show, the dissolution of their hilarious relationship — at one time the heart of the “Atlanta” franchise — was a real loss.

Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga

Teresa made it no secret that she was not happy that her sister-in-law had joined the show. For three seasons, the two and their husbands battled it out over just about anything from the past they could think of, mostly stemming from Teresa’s dissatisfaction with Melissa as a wife to her brother. It would take Teresa’s prison sentence to finally bring them all together.

Bethenny Frankel and Jill Zarin

The “New York” franchise took a dark turn as the Housewives squarely split into two factions. Once besties, Bethenny and Jill became mortal enemies, although it was never particularly clear why. Bethenny would eventually reveal that it all stemmed from Jill’s resentment over her newfound success with a spinoff show. It was the kind of real-life rift anyone who’s ever been passed over for a promotion could empathize with.

Michaele Salahi versus everyone

“The Real Housewives of DC” came to a quick end, canceled after one season, presumably because of all the bad press the infamous “White House crashers” Michaele and her husband, Tareq, had stirred up. Their act jumped from Bravo plotline to national security headline, and the other Housewives clearly blamed Michaele as the show went up in smoke — along with all of their reality-TV careers. At the reunion, Mary Amons revealingly said the Salahis “hijacked our show.”
