The woman who stabbed Martin Luther King more than 50 years ago in Harlem died last week in Queens at 98, police sources said Tuesday.
Izola Curry attempted to assassinate the civil-rights leader with a letter opener in 1958 while he was at a book signing. Curry died at a nursing home on March 7, police sources said.
She was diagnosed as schizophrenic and spent almost 14 years in prison. King underwent major surgery.
