‘Empire’ villain Terrence Howard crosses to right side of law in Fox’s ‘Wayward Pines’

Fear not, “Empire” fans — there’s more Lucious Lyon on the way.

Well, sort of.

Terrence Howard, who stars in “Empire” as tough-talking music mogul Lucious Lyon, will return to the small screen in “Wayward Pines,” which he completed before signing on for “Empire,” the Fox series that wrapped its record-breaking first season Wednesday night.

Howard’s role on “Wayward Pines” as Sheriff Arnold Pope couldn’t be more different from Lucious — as evidenced by this interview, posted on YouTube, in which Howard talks about his character and we get to see a clip from the show.

“Wayward Pines” premieres May 14 on Fox and also stars Juliette Lewis, Matt Dillon, Toby Jones, Melissa Leo, Carla Gugino and Reed Diamond.
