LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky, by some counts, has nine future pros. But could they beat current pros?
“I think they’d honestly make the playoffs in the Eastern Conference if they were in the NBA,” said SMU coach Larry Brown.
By that measure, that would mean Kentucky could take out the Knicks, tied for the worst record in the NBA.
And that wasn’t all Brown had to say on the subject.
“I think in order for somebody to beat Kentucky, Kentucky has to play as poorly as they can possibly play, and somebody else has to play great because they defend so well,” said the only man alive who has won championships at the college and professional levels.
