It wasn’t the surprise Germanwings wished for its passengers.
The airline has pulled ads bearing the unfortunate slogan, “Get ready to be surprised,” from London’s subway system after Tuesday’s deadly crash in the French Alps.
The posters feature an image of a flight attendant giving a come-hither look.
“Enjoy the variety of Germany and fly to e.g. Berlin or Hamburg,” read the ads, which appeared on trains and platforms in the London Underground.
Transport for London said the posters, as well as digital ads, were being removed.
“Our advertising department was contacted by the company and asked to remove the adverts on Tuesday,” a rep told Metro.co.uk.
Germanwings said it had halted its poster and online ad campaigns in the UK “until further notice.”
