LOS ANGELES — Fordham’s next men’s basketball coach won’t be Andy Toole.
The 34-year-old Robert Morris coach, seen as a rising star in the business, has opted to stay put after rumors he was on the verge of accepting the position, according to a source. Robert Morris also announced the news.
Earlier this week The Post reported Fordham interviewed Albany head coach Will Brown for the job vacancy and the school has also reached out to Norfolk State coach Rob Jones, according to a source.
Tom Pecora was fired after five seasons and a 44-106 record. This week freshman Eric Paschall, the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year, announced he was considering a transfer and received permission from the school to contact other programs. Villanova and Providence are among his new suitors.
