James Corden is entering only his third week hosting “The Late Late Show” on CBS — but, so far, he’s making a big impact in the digital universe.
Ratings for Corden’s first eight nights on the air have been fine — not through-the-roof or alarmingly low, and about on par with his predecessor, Craig Ferguson. (“The Late Late Show” aired Monday through Wednesday its first week, March 23, due to NCAA basketball coverage on CBS.)
What Corden has accomplished so far is acclimating himself nicely to his online audience — now such a big component in attracting eyeballs to TV shows.
Corden has produced several comedy segments that have been widely disseminated online, keeping in step with his late-night cohorts Jimmy Fallon (“The Tonight Show”) and Jimmy Kimmel (“Jimmy Kimmel Live”).
Here’s a look at five “Late Late Show” skits that went viral since the show’s premiere.
