WASHINGTON — First daughter Malia Obama is learning to drive, but she won’t be getting much help from Mom — who revealed Monday that she hasn’t been behind the wheel of a car in seven years.
Michelle Obama admitted she was stumped when 16-year-old Malia asked for parking tips during a test drive in a public lot.
“I barely know now, too, so I have to check with other sources,” the first lady said on “Live with Kelly and Michael.”
View videoIn the interview before the annual White House Easter Egg Roll, she also explained how she keeps her teens grounded: strict rules on screen time, phone use and checking egos at the door.
She joked there was no reason for Malia and Sasha, 13, to be listed by Time magazine as among the nation’s most influential teens.
“I don’t know why,” Michelle Obama said with a laugh. “They’re not influential, they just live here.”
