A 100-year-old man killed his wife with an ax as she lay sleeping in their New Jersey home, then killed himself in the bathroom with a knife, prosecutors said.
Michael Juskin bludgeoned his wife, Rosalia, 88, late Sunday in Elmwood Park, Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli said.
Juskin’s son said his father had been suffering from dementia.
“He wasn’t himself,” Nick Juskin told The Post. “More times than not, he didn’t know where he was. He had Alzheimer’s. He couldn’t hear worth of s- -t.”
Authorities noted a “history of domestic issues” with the couple, but the motive remains under investigation.
