ISIS threatens another 9/11-style attack on social media

ISIS has threatened to unleash another 9/11-style attack on the US after launching a new terror campaign on social media aimed at striking fear in the hearts of Americans.

Using the hashtag, “We Will Burn America,” the extremists recently took to Twitter to spread their twisted message with an eerie propaganda video filled with ominous threats and a bloodthirsty highlight reel of their “greatest hits.”

“America thinks it’s safe because of the geographical location,” an English subtitle reads. “Thus you see it invades the Muslim lands, and it thinks that the army of the Jihad won’t reach in their lands. But the dream of the American to have safety became a mirage. Today there is no safety for any American on the globe.”

Throughout the 11-minute video, a compilation of the Islamic State’s most atrocious acts of terrorism and savagery can be seen — including roadside bombings and numerous executions, such as the beheading of US journalist James Foley and the horrific burning of Jordanian pilot Muath al-Kaseasbeh, according to the Telegraph.

“The mujahideen before although they had less resources, attacked New York and bombed the Twin Towers in September Eleven attacks,” the video recalls, as images of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center repeatedly flash across the screen.

“That blessed incursion was a fatal blow … by Allah’s willing the fear will spread among them again soon … Today, it’s time for payback … the mujahideen are much more stronger and they have more resources. Thus they are able to burn United States again.”

Islamic State militants can be seen throughout the footage steering tanks and blasting mortar shells at unknown targets. Jihadists can also be spotted emptying AK-47 assault rifle clips and setting off improvised explosive devices.

Other notorious acts of violence that ISIS highlighted in the video were the Charlie Hebdo killings carried out by French terrorist brothers Said and Cherif Kouachi and the Parliament Hill shooting in Canada carried out by Michael Zehaf-Bibeau.

The chilling piece of propaganda was released in the wake of the terror group’s April 8 launch of their #WeWillBurnUSAgain” Twitter campaign, according to the Telegraph.

Since the hashtag first surfaced online, gruesome images have been posted alongside the phrase — including pictures of dead or wounded US soldiers. One tweet frighteningly warns, “Booby trapped vehicles will hit all over the United States, and it will kill you all.”

Other, less offensive photos showed things such as devilish caricatures of President Obama and amateur Photoshop attempts to show the US Capitol and White House being attacked.
