Comedy duo Jenny Slate and Ari Graynor book a road trip on FX

Jenny Slate and her “Obvious Child” director and producer are re-teaming for a FX Networks comedy pilot about two female friends on a road trip.

Slate (“Parks and Recreation”) and Ari Graynor (“Bad Teacher”) will co-star as New Yorkers who meet each other in their 30s, make a movie and embark on a road trip for their next project.

Gillian Robespierre and Elisabeth Holm will write the pilot, with Robespierre directing. The untitled project begins filming in New York on Tuesday.

Slate co-stars on the FX comedy series “Married,” which returns for Season 2 in July.
