Friends and family are desperately searching for an NYU law school graduate who has been missing for over a week.
Landon Thomas was last seen at his apartment on West 145th Street near Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard in Harlem at 8 a.m. on April 27, cops
said.
His roommate, Roman Zamishka, 25, went to the Harlem pad at 6 p.m. where the two were supposed to pack a car with belongings to their new
Astoria apartment, but Landon never showed.
“I started getting concerned, he’s a very punctuational, professional person. If he’s five minutes late, he’ll notify you,” said Zamishka
who found packed bags of clothes belonging to Landon in the apartment. “We knew something was wrong when his friends and family didn’t know
where he was and he didn’t turn up in the morning.”
Landon had been studying for the BAR exam after graduating from NYU last year and was preparing for a job at the Bronx District Attorney’s office once he passed.
His mother, Patricia Thomas, remains hopeful Landon will be found and described her son as “very responsible” and the type of son who always returned her calls.
“We’re holding up very well,” Patricia said. “We have a very strong connection, if something serious happened I would feel it.”
Friends and family have been posting fliers around the city and created a Facebook group titled “Help Find Landon Thomas” to aid police in their search.
Thomas is described to be 6-feet-1-inches tall, weighs 300-pounds and was last seen wearing white sneakers, a black sweater and blue jeans.
