A Staten Islander who calls himself the Angry Pacifist claims a Trinity Church rep beat him.
Demonstrators have been sleeping on the sidewalk outside the downtown Manhattan church for two years to protest Trinity’s “support of the prosecution of Occupy Wall Street protesters,” Richard Lynch charges in his Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit.
Lynch says he was snoozing as part of one such “sleepful protest” when a guard tried to give him the boot. Lynch refused to go and a second man slammed him into a fence and then “threw him to the ground, jumping on him and striking [his] rib cage and chest with his elbows,” according to the lawsuit. The attack left Lynch with broken bones and internal injuries.
Trinity did not return a message seeking comment.
