Michelle Williams in contract to buy $2.4M Brooklyn mansion

Michelle Williams, the Hollywood star and real estate pioneer, has done it again.

The Golden Globe-winning thespian is in contract to buy a “Gone With the Wind”-style mansion known as “the Tara of Prospect Park South” in Flatbush, according to local blog the Ditmas Park Corner.

The crumbling yet statuesque mansion comes with a two-story front porch that features Ionic and Doric columns. It was last asking $2.45 million.

“We can’t comment on a deal that has not yet closed,” said a source close to the deal, adding that the neighborhood is filled with beautiful homes owned by creative types including the artist Robert Longo and the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Lindsay Abaire, who is a colleague and former neighbor of Williams in Boerum Hill.

Williams — who won her Golden Globe for playing Marilyn Monroe in “My Week With Marilyn” — will be living in the home with her 9-year-old daughter, Matilda — the only child of the late, tragic Australian actor Heath Ledger, with whom Williams had a three-year relationship.

The last time Williams bought a Brooklyn home — her Boerum Hill mansion — she sold it for $8.8 million, which was 17 percent over the asking price.

Her new mansion, at 1440 Albermarle Road, is a 114-year-old Colonial revival that is in extreme disrepair and will need a lot of work — but its structure is gracious and sound.

Williams has reportedly said she loves the mansion’s “surburban feel” next to an express train, according to the local blog. Her publicist did not return calls at press time.

The sprawling manse features eight bedrooms, six bathrooms and eight gas- and wood-burning fireplaces with their original mantels in place. The home also boasts stunning leaded and stained glass windows.

It also comes with what every celebrity dreams of in New York: a paparazzi-proof garage.

The first floor has a double parlor, a formal dining room, a sun room and an eat-in chef’s kitchen. There’s also a large center hall with a spiral bridal staircase.

The second floor features a master wing with a dressing room and a large, “original” bathroom with a pedestal sink and claw-foot tub, according to the listing, and indoor and outdoor porches. Two more bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and a home office that leads to a private porch are also on this floor.

The third floor boasts four bedrooms, a full bathroom and a rooftop deck with treetop views.

The home is filled with walk-in closets with built-in cabinetry.

It is currently set up as a two-family residence, but it is likely that Williams would restore the space to a single-family mansion.
