Michelle Rodriguez runs ‘Wild’ this week

1. Ann-Margaret marathon

Thursday, TCM

The irresistible, multitalented Swedish bombshell gets her own day — Aug. 13 — as part of TCM’s “Summer Under the Stars” series. A-M epitomizes the term “showbiz survivor” with the longevity of her career, which extends back to 1961. Two years later, she was a Top 10 box-office star. She hung up her sex-kitten image once and for all with a pair of performances, in “Carnal Knowledge” and “Tommy,” that brought her Oscar nominations. Here are the highlights of her tribute day.

8:30 a.m. “Viva Las Vegas” A-M meets her match in Elvis Presley, or vice-versa, in this glitzy musical. Elvis is a race-car driver who makes a U-turn when he sees comely swim instructor Ann-Margret.

8 p.m. “Bye Bye Birdie” The actress steals the show in this spoof of Elvis Presley being drafted into the Army. As small-town sweetheart Kim McAfee, she rocks a purple ruffled midriff.

Midnight. “Tommy” Ann-Margret takes an erotic bath in baked beans in Ken Russell’s adaptation of the rock opera by The Who.

2 a.m. “Carnal Knowledge” She gives a raw performance as Jack Nicholson’s masochistic girlfriend Bobbie Templeton in this 1971 drama.

2. “Sugarbabies”

Saturday, 8 p.m., Lifetime

Ricardo Hubbs
Katie Woods (Alyson Stoner, above right) just transferred from community college to Montlake University, but campus life is proving more expensive than she anticipated. Katie gets the opportunity of a lifetime to study in Florence, but realizes there is no way she can afford to go. Tessa suggests Katie join her on a double date and, against her better instincts, finds herself falling for British businessman James (Giles Panton, above left) who is able to write a check to make Katie’s dreams come true. But Katie soon realizes that having a sugar daddy comes with a high price tag.

3. “Masters of Sex”

A vicious battle ensues when the Immunes come to collect their prisoners. Back on the ship, Dr. Scott’s efforts to produce a spreadable cure depend on Niels (Ebon Moss-Bacharach), the scientist who nearly erased mankind.

5. “Ray Donovan”

Sunday, 9 p.m., Showtime

Finney (Ian McShane) tasks Ray (Liev Schreiber) with securing incriminating voicemails that could bring down the governor and sink their NFL deal, but the mission inadvertently drives a wedge between Finney and Paige (Katie Holmes). With Abby (Paula Malcomson) visiting her estranged father in Boston, it falls on Ray to help Bridget (Kerris Dorsey) with her scholastic and emotional turmoil. Meanwhile, Mickey (Jon Voight) and Daryll (Pooch Hall) sell a coke-and-hooker party to a Silicon Valley startup, but it gets out of hand and Conor (Devon Bagby) is thrust into a life-changing experience.
