Fall’s hottest lipstick
Christian Louboutin, the luxury shoe designer whose red-soled heels have graced the feet of the rich and the famous, apparently wants to “dress” women from head to toe. This summer he added lipstick to his already-popular nail-polish line, launching 38 shades in varying finishes. The makeup’s packaging references art deco and Middle Eastern influences — and, in a big bonus, doubles as a necklace pendant. $90 at christian-louboutin.com

Plaid is a cold-weather no-brainer, but don’t play it too safe this season. Trade the usual black outerwear for an eye-catching check, as seen all over the Miu Miu catwalk (left) and on Olivia Palermo. It’s an easy way to add pattern without looking like a crazy fashion lady — and the best way to stand out in NYC’s sea of black coats. Miu Miu coat, $4,585 at net-a-porter.com
For shady ladies only
You may not be able to join Gigi Hadid’s squad, but you can certainly get down with her Krewe — sunglasses, that is. The model is obsessed with the New Orleans-based indie-eyewear brand, which crafts handmade frames inspired by that city’s culture. They’ve got everything from wayfarer- and aviator-style to cat eyes and reflective round styles. Hadid has been snapped in at least three different pairs. From $165 at kreweduoptic.com
Off-duty-model scene
The unassuming bar Mr. Fong’s, which opened earlier this summer, is poised to host many a Fashion Week after-party. Plopped on the corner of Market and Madison streets in middle-of-nowhere Chinatown, the space has become a haunt for models, editors, stylists and others from the fashion world. (One of the owners is also a partner at AM Casting, an agency that matches models and designers for Fashion Week.) Things get popping after 10 or 11 p.m., and the well drinks — all less than $10 — flow every night until 4 a.m. Just don’t look for the sign out front: It doesn’t exist. 40 Market St.

Forget the dank carpeting at Bikram. Sky Ting, a new LES yoga studio, is all about minimalist chic with oak-plank floors and boutique luxe activewear on offer. It’s a favorite with Vogue and Elle editors, but co-owner Chloe Kernaghan says everyone is welcome. “Once the yoga starts . . . we’re [all] there to sweat and breathe and figure our own s - - t out.” 55 Chrystie Street
The new way to braid
After the effortless chic of the fishtail trend, there’s a new twist gaining traction: cornrows. But this isn’t the Bo Derek hairdo of yore — celebs like Amanda Seyfried, Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner and Selena Gomez are softening the look by doing just a few plaits up top, falling into loose waves.
Statement-bag alert
We love everything about Gucci’s poetic fall collection (yes, cult furry loafers included), but we’re especially fond of the new “Dionysus” handbag — a hit with boldfacers like Dakota Johnson, Salma Hayek and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. The ladylike accessory comes in a variety of fabrics and with add-ons, from unadorned suede (perfect for minimalists) to statement-making floral-embroidered canvas. $2,400 at gucci.com
Enter the dragon
In a city where the svelte and carb-averse are increasingly obsessed with bowls — from açaí to Chipotle — a new entry is standing out. Pitaya (aka dragon fruit) bowls feature a fruity puree topped with berries, chia seeds and the like. But the big draw is pitaya’s vibrant fuschia hue. At 8th Wonder Juice Bar in Gramercy (370 Second Ave.), co-owner Alfred Anthony notes his pitaya bowl is one of the most popular bowls on the menu. “People are like, ‘Wow, that’s pretty!’ ” he says. The trendy superfood, which is also on the menu at Liquiteria in Chelsea (102 Eighth Ave.) and model-mecca Dimes (49 Canal St.), supposedly has health benefits for everything from weight management to anti-aging. So it not only looks good enough to eat — it’s also good for you.
