Actress and former “Celebrity Apprentice” star Vivica A. Fox has a new title to add to her résumé: hair entrepreneur.
With a successful wig line called the Vivica A. Fox Hair Collection, which she launched in 2008, she has now branched off with a newly patented “Cornrow Cap.”
The cap has an elastic band and is made of fine meshed material covered in synthetic braids, which women can then sew their weaves onto — thus saving their real hair from the harsh pulling of a weave.
“Nowadays all types of women are wearing weaves and wigs,” Fox tells The Post. “We are too busy to sit down for hours to get our hair done. So this Cornrow Cap is a great alternative for that busy woman on the go.”
Fox, 51, teamed with hairstylist Kia McKenzie on the concept of the cap, which will be available on her Web site, vivicafox.com, and at beauty supply stores for $15.
Fox, who is featured in this season of “Empire” as Cookie’s older sister, says she’s eager to hear feedback from her loyal fans.
“The best part is when women come up to me and say, ‘Hey, I am wearing your wig for my date tonight, or for a job interview,’ ” Fox says. “It makes me feel really great that I can make women of all ages and races feel good about themselves and their appearance.”
