“Jihadi John,” the bloodthirsty Islamist terrorist killed in a drone strike Thursday, has a secret son who is a British citizen, according to a report.
The offspring of knife-wielding executioner Mohammed Emwazi, 27, was born in Syria, The Daily Telegraph reported. The boy’s age is not known, nor is the identity and nationality of the boy’s mother.
But the child can move to England and get a passport, because British citizenship can be passed down to children born abroad as long as the parents are citizens.
Emwazi, who earned the nickname Jihadi John after appearing in beheading videos of Western hostages last year, is a British citizen. His family moved to a London suburb from Kuwait in 1993 when he was 6. As a London schoolboy, he was taunted for having bad breath and became shy and self-conscious about it, the Daily Mail reported.
He embraced English life, becoming “football-mad” and a fan of the Manchester United soccer team.
He played soccer in the streets of his neighborhood, loved watching “The Simpsons” and wrote in his elementary-school yearbook that he wanted to be a “footballer” when he grew up.
Instead he graduated from high school in London and was able to flee to Syria despite being included on a terrorism watch list and monitored by Scotland Yard.
