A deranged man wearing a bulletproof vest and carrying an empty two-gun shoulder holster and black ski mask was arrested Monday when he tried to enter the spa of The Waldorf Astoria hotel, police sources said.
Christopher Goodine, 26, of New Rochelle entered the hotel at about 11 a.m. and went into a guest locker room. Hotel security held him there while the NYPD’s Intelligence Unit responded.
They searched the hotel and surrounding area for a gun, but didn’t find one. Goodine told cops he was there to take a shower.
He was arrested and charged with criminal trespass, a misdemeanor, and was being held overnight at the Midtown North Precinct station house.
