Alabama (-14) over AUBURN: This is the 80th edition of the Iron Bowl. Alabama has won five of seven meetings in this series including last year. The last time these schools played on the plains, the infamous “Kick Six” happened, and there’s no doubt the Crimson Tide haven’t forgotten. Alabama has the best defense in the country and Auburn has struggled offensively and has yet to find consistent play at quarterback. The Tide will look to remind everyone who the dominant team in the state is.
Wisconsin (-2¹/₂) over MINNESOTA: Wisconsin has won the last 11 meetings. Both enter off misleading final scores last week, which gives us some line value. Minnesota won by more than a touchdown despite being outgained by nearly 100 yards against Illinois. The Badgers lost due to turning the ball over five times and having a punt-return TD called back in controversial fashion. The Gophers need to win to become bowl eligible, but Wisconsin will keep Paul Bunyan’s Axe for the 12th straight year.
Last week (NCAA): 1-1
Season: 13-11
