Paris-based businesswoman Dominique Senequier — named one of the world’s most powerful women by Forbes last year — is the new owner of a $15 million apartment at the legendary Emery Roth-designed Beresford, on the Upper West Side at 211 Central Park West.
Senequier, who was one of the first seven women allowed into the prestigious Ecole Polytechnique to study in 1972, heads Ardian, a private equity firm formerly known as AXA Private Equity, which she founded in 1996.
It is reportedly Europe’s largest private equity fund, with $50 billion in assets.
Senequier, named a chevalier of France’s Legion of Honor, bought the apartment from the estate of attorney Donald Shack in an off-market deal.
