I love the Christmas tradition of seeing the windows at Bergdorf’s. What they do is always a surprise, and so beautifully executed. It’s a rare tradition in the modern world. Afterward, I love to go to their home department and see the Christmas decorations, and eat at BG with the ladies-who-lunch crowd.
For Christmas gifts, I always go to Marc Jacobs to get their great cashmere gloves, socks and scarves.
At Bemelmans Bar, it really feels like the holidays having a glass of Champagne while the piano plays in the low warm light.
And I love taking my kids to this small rink under the High Line at the Standard. They have a nice spot to have a hot chocolate right next to it.
We also order smoked salmon, caviar and latkes from Russ & Daughters for a holiday treat.
At ABC Carpet & Home, we go to visit Santa. He seems like the real Santa, who’s been there for years. You have to go early in the morning to avoid very long lines, and it’s fun to get a beautiful ornament after.
