This man’s “can-do” attitude is now worth a fortune!
For 40 years, Jeff Lebo has been carefully adding cans of beer to the walls of his vacation house in York Haven, Penn. — which is now filled with 87,000 containers of vintage booze, worth an estimated $1.6 million.
“It’s sort of an ongoing labor of love,” he told Barcroft Media. “I like being able to preserve social history in a way.”
The 53-year-old is now letting beer enthusiasts enjoy his canning paradise, which he calls Brewhouse Mountain.
“We’re now renting it out as an inn and it is amazing to see the people who have come to stay here who are fascinated by this,” said his wife, Lauri.
While Lauri isn’t enthralled with her husband’s hobby, she’s glad it makes him happy.
“It’s his love,” she told Barcroft. “I love my husband and I like to indulge in his passions.”
Lebo said he’ll likely never sell all of his collection, but he’s cashed in on some of the valuable cans to pay for a piece of property the couple bought in Costa Rica.
“We are actually converting it into an eco-resort and we’re hoping in about three years or so we’ll be open for business,” Lebo said.
