Baseball heavy hitter and YES Network commentator David Cone has closed on a four bedroom, four and a half bathroom unit at The Greenwich Lane, a five-building, five-townhouse complex, according to city property records.
Cone’s apartment, at 160 W. 12th Street, was asking $7.97 million. The deal closed above ask — at $8.133 million. The unit boasts beamed ceilings, hardwood floors, a chef’s kitchen, a private balcony — and plenty of space to display Cone’s five World Series rings. There’s also “unique painted steel entry doors,” according to the listing, and vertically paneled interior doors.
The eco-chic complex is attracting a number of high profile buyers, including fashion designer Michael Kors, who snagged a penthouse. Actor Michael C. Hall, and model Tori Garrn also bought at the Greenwich Lane, as did the Village Voice’s new owner, Peter Barbey, who bought a $26 million apartment.
