The husk of Tiger Woods is playing full golf holes again

Tiger Woods’ return may be getting closer.

Woods has been playing full holes during four-to-five-hour practice sessions at Florida’s Medalist Golf Club, according to a Golf Channel report.

Woods has been out since last August recovering from a pair of back surgeries last September and October, and reports on his golf condition have ranged from dire (he’s basically immobile) to optimistic (he can one shot in a virtual reality setup).

Golf Channel’s Tim Rosaforte said Woods “looked great, was talking to everybody in an upbeat mood, couldn’t have been happier.”

Woods waited until days before the Masters to rule himself out.

“I’ve been hitting balls and training daily, but I’m not physically ready,” Woods said in a statement at the time. “I’ve said all along that this time I need to be cautious and do what’s best for my long-term health and career. … I’m absolutely making progress, and I’m really happy with how far I’ve come, but I still have no timetable to return to competitive golf.”
