A man stabbed in a road-rage incident on the Upper East Side is a married dad on his way home from a pickup baseball game, his family said Sunday.
David Pizarro’s condition was upgraded to stable at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center.
“He got stabbed 11 times, but doctors are saying everything looks good,” said Pizarro’s wife, Nancy Hernandez. “I just hope they catch [the attacker]. He meant to kill him.”
Pizarro was returning to his Bronx home at around 11:20 p.m. Saturday, when he had an altercation with another driver at East 61st Street and York Avenue.
When Pizarro tried to pull the other driver from his car, the man stabbed him and took off, police sources said.
