Donald Trump opened an odd line of attack Monday on John Kasich’s eating habits.
Trump labeled as “disgusting” the Ohio governor’s scarfing down of sandwiches, desserts and just about anything else he’s offered on the campaign trail, such as a plate of pasta at Mike’s Deli on Arthur Avenue in The Bronx.
“I have never seen a human being eat in such disgusting fashion,” Trump said during a campaign rally in Warwick, RI.
Trump said he had been watching television with his youngest son, Barron, while Kasich was consuming a huge portion of food.
“I said, ‘Don’t watch! Little bites, little bites,’ ” Trump recalled.
He also called Kasich stubborn and compared him to a child for refusing to exit the race.
Trump usually reserves his sharpest missives for Ted Cruz, his nearest rival.
But a new alliance between Cruz and Kasich aimed at blocking Trump from amassing enough delegates to win the nomination led The Donald to pay more attention to the third man in the Republican race.
