Cops search for missing Columbia student

Cops are searching for a Columbia University student who went missing last week.

Nayla Kidd

Nayla Kidd, 19, was last seen on campus on May 5 at 5 p.m. Police say Kidd is 5-foot-9 and 120 pounds with a thin build and a medium complexion.

Her mom, La Creis Kidd, a professor at the University of Louisville, didn’t even hear from her daughter on Mother’s Day, The Washington Post reported.

Kidd is a sophomore at the School of Engineering and Applied Science.

She is a dedicated student who co-authored three scientific publications, said family friend Alesha Wood.

Kidd is from Louisville Ky., and graduated from The Thacher School, a prestigious college prep school in California.

Columbia asked anyone with information on Kidd’s whereabouts to contact the school’s public safety department at (212) 854-5555 or the 26th Precinct Detective Squad at (212) 678-1351.
