This woman robbed a Chase bank in Riverdale, police said Sunday. She walked into the bank at 5656 Riverdale Ave. at 4:50 p.m. Thursday and demanded cash from a teller, cops said. The clerk complied and the woman fled, police said. The robber is between 25 and 30 years old, about 5-foot-6, and was wearing sunglasses, a black T-shirt and a gray, hooded sweater.
One teenager has been charged with the attempted murder of another in Fordham Manor, cops said Sunday. Anthony Boyd, 17, was charged Wednesday in the shooting at about 11:50 p.m. May 16 in front of 2833 Briggs Ave., police said. Jordan Deleon, also 17, told cops he was walking on Briggs when he was approached by seven men, according to police sources. Deleon told cops he saw a gun and started running, but stopped a short time later when he realized he had been shot. Boyd has been charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
Brooklyn
A man has been arrested in a 2015 homicide in East Flatbush, cops said Sunday. Christopher Daniels, 26, has been charged with murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the shooting of Gerald Wellington at 5:40 p.m July 13, police sources said. Wellington was shot in the left side, arm and cheek as he spoke on his cellphone in front of 449 E. 96th St. “He was outside on the phone, speaking loudly,” a police source said. Daniels, who lives on East 93rd Street, was identified in a lineup, police sources said. The motive was not released.
Manhattan
A thief stole $35,000 from a Lower East Side deli’s safe after cutting a hole in the roof and climbing down, police sources said Sunday. The owner of Superior Deli at 280 Henry St. told cops he arrived at work Thursday morning to find the hole above the second-floor office. He told them the safe was pried open and the cash was gone, the sources said. The store was not equipped with surveillance cameras.
Queens
This baseball-cap-wearing thief is wanted for a series of burglaries in and around Bayside, police said Sunday. The man entered seven homes through windows and doors between Dec. 6 and May 5, and stole jewelry, purses and electronics, cops said. In the first incident, a burglar entered a 62-year-old man’s home near 161st Street and Grand Central Parkway through a front window and stole assorted electronics before fleeing through the back door. At around 7 p.m. April 1, the thief entered a 73-year-old woman’s home at 56th Avenue and 208th Street through the back window and removed assorted jewelry. The thief entered the home of a 45-year-old man at about 5:30 a.m. April 17 through the side door and removed jewelry and a laptop. Other homes were robbed on March 29, April 29, May 3 and May 5. The man is between 40 and 50 years old, and in the May 5 heist was wearing a blue sweat shirt and a Brooklyn baseball cap, police said.
Staten Island
Police are looking for a tall pickpocket who bumped into a 56-year-old man and stole a wallet from his back pocket as the victim departed the Staten Island Ferry, cops said Sunday. The man told police his wallet was taken at about 1:30 p.m. May 9 as he got off the Andrew J. Barberi ferry boat at 1 Richmond Terrace. The victim got a call from Chase bank later in the day informing him that several unauthorized transactions were made with his debit card. The suspect is 30 years old, stands about 6-foot-5, has a thin build and was wearing a multicolored vest with the number 33 on the back.
