Financial services software company Misys has signed the latest new lease at RFR Realty’s and GreenOak’s 285 Madison Ave., for 23,492 square feet. The deal comes on the heels of GE Capital’s commitment for 43,000 square feet reported here last week.
Aby Rosen’s RFR was repped by a JLL team led by Alexander Chudnoff and Mitch Konsker. CBRE repped the tenant.
Misys provides banking, capital markets, investment management and risk solutions to 47 of the world’s 50 largest banks. US Managing Director Tom King said 285 Madison offered the right combination of features “to serve as our headquarters for the Americas.”
The latest addition to Amsterdam Avenue’s “restaurant row” hails from Israel. Kirsh Bakery & Kitchen will open soon at 551 Amsterdam between West 86th and 87th streets — the first New York venture by restaurateur Dan Kirsh, who runs acclaimed Zuni in Jerusalem.
The lease for the 2,300-square-foot space was negotiated for Kirsh by Lee & Associates’ Peter Braus and Richard Kave. The asking rent on the 15-year deal was $125 per square foot. Landlord Rudd Realty Management was repped in-house by Michelle Ball.
The eatery will be divided into a dining room and a retail bakery.
