An NYPD cop was arrested for allegedly leaking police information to a gangbanger’s gal pal, whom he met on Facebook while investigating the Bronx gang, sources said.
Adam Malki, 24, was looking for gang members on Facebook when he decided one of their girlfriends was “hot” and asked her to meet for a date, police sources said.
Malki was wearing his uniform and shield when the duo met at the Buddha Lounge in Highbridge.
They exchanged numbers and started a “romantic relationship,” a source said.
Malki allegedly bragged about who might be arrested as part of a March bust in which more than 80 people were nabbed on drugs and weapons charges, the sources said.
The bust, which resulted in a 386-count indictment, was called one of the biggest in Bronx history.
The information given to the woman was not “crucial to the investigation” and cops were still able to execute the operation.
Malki was arrested Sunday at a governmental building in the Bronx and charged with official misconduct.
