It’s been 57 days since the Yankees signed Nick Swisher to a minor league deal. The Yankees have called up 13 different players a total of 17 times during those 57 days — none of them named Swisher.
The latest example came Friday, in light of first baseman Chris Parmelee heading to the disabled list with a hamstring injury, when the Yankees promoted righty reliever Chad Green from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre instead of Swisher.
There’s no telling when Swisher will get another shot in New York with the team he played for from 2009-12. The 35-year-old is batting .195 with one homer in his past 118 at-bats. Yankees manager Joe Girardi said it’s “not the right time” for Swisher, and second baseman/outfielder Rob Refsnyder will become the everyday first baseman.
“It’s frustrating to see guys get hurt and a lot of different people get called up and not be one of them,” Swisher told The Post’s Dan Martin last week. “It’s like, ‘What do I have to do?’”
