The Bronx

Police released a surveillance image of the suspected chain snatcher who tussled with the victim, an off-duty cop who pulled his gun and fired a shot during the struggle near Crotona Park, investigators said. The bullet fired by the housing cop struck the bumper of a parked car. The officer was on Clinton Avenue when the thief approached and grabbed for the cop’s gold neck chains. The suspect was described as in his mid-20s, 6 feet tall and 190 pounds.

A teenage boy was fatally shot and a man was wounded when a gunman fired at them in Claremont, cops said. Dontay Gordon, 17, and a 21-year-old man were hit at College Avenue near East 170th Street at about 9:20 p.m. Wednesday. Both were rushed to Lincoln Hospital, where Gordon was pronounced dead and the man was in critical but stable condition, police said.

Two muggers fired a gun at a livery driver in Morrisania early Wednesday — but the weapon didn’t discharge, cops said. The 23-year-old cabby had finished his shift at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, parked his car at Franklin Avenue and East 167th Street and fell asleep with his doors unlocked, police investigators said. The suspects approached and opened the front doors, cops said. One thug grabbed $20 from the victim and the other reached for a phone on the dashboard. During a struggle, one suspect punched the driver in the face and the other fired his gun, which didn’t discharge, cops said. The victim described one suspect as about ­5-foot-8 and 190 pounds with short hair, while the other was believed to be about 5-foot-7 and 120 pounds with short hair.

Manhattan

Cops are looking for a suspect in a knifepoint robbery on a D train in Chinatown.
The 25-year-old victim was on board a northbound train at the Grand Street station on July 12 at 11:20 p.m. when the suspect approached, displayed a knife, demanded cash and fled with $20, cops said. The suspect is about 25 years old and 5-foot-10 with brown eyes and a short black afro.

Cops who pulled over a man for driving erratically in Washington Heights found an arsenal in his SUV, police said.
Cleon Cortez, 45, of ­Loris, SC, was in his red Dodge Durango near Broadway and West 174th Street when three cops pulled him over at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, police investigators said.
Sgt. Anderson Ortiz and officers Dwight Powell and John Coil searched the car and found an AK-47 assault rifle, a double-barreled shotgun, ammunition and 2¹/₂ ounces of marijuana, cops said. Cortez was placed ­under arrest.

A burglar tried to break into an apartment in West Harlem but ran off when a noise from inside spooked him, authorities said.
He climbed up the fire escape of a building at St. Nicholas Avenue and 140th Street and opened the window to an apartment at about 4:15 p.m. on July 30, cops said.
As he was about to enter the home, he heard a noise and fled back down the fire escape.
He was described as Hispanic and balding and was last seen wearing a long-sleeved white shirt and black jeans.

Queens

Cops are looking for a suspect who allegedly took thousands of dollars in cash and checks in the burglary of a Flushing cafe, police said.
He entered The Oasis Cafe on Northern Boulevard on Aug. 11 at about 3:25 a.m. through an open rear door, broke into a locked room and removed about $26,000 in cash and $4,000 in checks from an unsecured safe, cops said. Cops describe the burglar as Hispanic, between 25 and 30 years old and wearing glasses.
He was last seen wearing an orange shirt, black shorts, a black long-sleeved shirt and a cap.
