The ex-con grandson of a former Staten Island borough president was arrested in California when cops discovered more than 100 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of his car, police said.
Steven Molinaro, 27, who served three years in jail on a 2007 assault conviction on Staten Island, was busted in Santa Rosa Wednesday when cops pulled him over for a traffic violation and smelled weed in his rental car, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department said.
A dog followed the scent to the vehicle’s trunk, where 108 pounds of pot were stuffed in duffel bags, police said. Molinaro, the grandson of ex-Beep James Molinaro, was released on $30,000 bond.
