The man who scaled Trump Tower in a failed bid to meet the Republican presidential hopeful has nicknamed himself “MAGA” — an acronym for The Donald’s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again,” a source said Friday.
Stephen Rogata, 19, was sent to the psych ward at Bellevue Hospital after police nabbed him climbing the famed Midtown skyscraper on Aug. 10.
A hospital source said that the approximately 30 patients on the ward were in awe of Rogata, calling him Spider-Man. But Rogata told everyone his name was “MAGA — which is totally hilarious,” the source said.
During Rogata’s stay at Bellevue, a crazed man on the ward tried to stab an officer with a pair of scissors, prompting the other patients to yell for “Spider-Man,” but Rogata was too “whacked out on psych meds” to respond to the incident, the source said.
Rogata was charged with criminal trespassing, among other charges, and released on $10,000 bail.
