These three suspects beat and robbed a 42-year-old man on a Melrose street, cops said Saturday. Two men and a woman with bright orange hair surrounded the victim at about 1:15 a.m. Tuesday near Park Avenue and East 149th Street, according to police. One of them walloped the man in the face with a hard object, and they fled with his cellphone and wallet, cops said. The victim was treated at a local hospital. Later, purchases were made at a nearby deli with the victim’s credit card, police said. The woman wore a blue, purple and pink top with matching pants. Both men wore dark clothes.
A 30-year-old man was shot in the right leg in Morrisania Saturday morning, according to law-enforcement authorities. He was struck at about 10:30 a.m. at 1175 Boston Road. EMS took him to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition, police sources said. A suspect is not cooperating with investigators but has not been arrested, the sources said.
Brooklyn
Two burglars stole $26,000 worth of computer equipment from a commercial building in Crown Heights, authorities said Saturday. The men swiped the electronics at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday from Slow Food USA, a nonprofit that promotes farm food over fast food. The men are in their 20s, about 5-foot-8 and around 150 pounds. One had black braided hair and a goatee, and wore white sneakers, a blue T-shirt, blue hat and jeans. The other has short black hair, and wore white sneakers, a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
A man fondled a woman’s breast as she slept on a train headed to Brighton Beach, police said Saturday. The straphanger dozed off shortly after boarding a Q train at Herald Square at about 9:45 p.m. on Aug. 12, cops said. Another commuter saw the creep groping the woman and snapped a photo of the suspect on a cellphone, police said. When the victim awoke at Ocean Parkway, the witness told her what had happened and provided her with the photo. The perv, who stayed on the train, is about 35 years old, 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds, cops said. He wore a pink polo shirt, blue plaid shorts and brown sandals.
Manhattan
Authorities are looking for this man, who is suspected of forcibly touching a woman aboard a subway train in Greenwich Village. The victim stepped onto a middle car of an N train at the 14th Street-Union Square station at about 11 p.m. Aug. 5. She encountered the suspect before the train made it to the next stop, according to cops. He grabbed her right ankle and slid his hand up her knee, before fleeing at the Eighth Street-NYU station, they said. He is about 20 years old, 5-foot-5 and 140 pounds, with dark hair, and was wearing blue headphones, black-rimmed glasses and carrying a blue backpack, police said.
Staten Island
A heartless punk snatched a 70-year-old woman’s purse at the Snug Harbor Cultural Center in New Brighton, police said Saturday. The man approached the woman on his bicycle and grabbed her bag just before noon Aug. 12, according to cops. He then pedaled away toward Van Buren Street. He is between 18 and 20 years old and about 5-foot-8, with long black hair, and he wore a white shirt and black shorts.
Queens
A 51-year-old man was slugged in the face and robbed in Astoria, cops said. The suspect crept up to the victim and covered his mouth near the entrance to a building on 23rd Street at about 5 a.m. on Aug. 13, according to police. He knocked the victim to the ground with a blow to head, then emptied the man’s pockets and made off with his wallet, they said. The suspect is 25 to 35 years old and 6 feet tall.
