A man wanted for taking a naked stroll through Brooklyn last month may be the same creep who tried to rape a woman just blocks away in a separate incident, authorities said.
Police on Wednesday released surveillance video showing the unclothed man strutting down East 52nd Street near Avenue I in Flatlands around 6 a.m. Aug. 12.
The suspect fits the description of a man who assaulted and tried to rape a woman several blocks away near the corner East 55th Street and Avenue J, police said.
In that incident, a nude man grabbed the woman by the throat and threw her to the ground around 11:15 p.m. Aug 29.
He told her to keep quiet and said that he wasn’t going to rape her, even as he tackled her and forcibly touched her, sources said.
The woman eventually managed to free herself and called for help.
The man is described as being in his late 20s with a thin build.
