For those who would like city living to be more like a fairy tale, Brooklyn’s famed Gingerbread House is back on the market for $10.99 million.

The storybook stone house has been on and off the market since 2009, when it asked $12 million.

The Bay Ridge home, located at 8220 Narrows Ave., was created almost 100 years ago, in 1917, by architect James Sarsfield Kennedy for shipping mogul Howard Jones in the quirky Arts and Crafts style.

It was the first house to be landmarked in Bay Ridge; the 1-acre property is also landmarked because the home’s relationship to nature is “essential,” according to the Bay Ridge Conservancy.

The home is just as enchanted on the inside, with sculpted wood reliefs and stained-glass depictions of “history, fantasy and fairy tales,” along with hand-carved stone fireplaces, mantles and columns, according to the whimsical listing.

The six-bedroom, 5½-bathroom home is a roomy 5,746 square feet. It even boasts a “fountain room” that connects its great room to “tiered exterior terraces where your lemon trees may grow or your chamber musicians may perform,” as the listing notes.

There’s also a dining room and a music conservatory with cherry and mahogany floors. The terra cotta-tiled kitchen, which comes with a separate staff service area, leads to an outdoor dining patio.

The outdoor area also features enchanted gardens and a stone wall, plus an archway that connects to a three-car garage.

The listing brokers are David and Raymond Reis of Keller Williams.
