Kelly Gang gives $100K to South Bronx youth sports group
A sports bubble may soon rise again at the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club in the South Bronx, thanks to help from a $100,000 donation from the Kelly Gang.
Ray Kelly, the city’s former top cop and now vice chairman of K2 Intelligence, joined Kelly Gang president Ed Kelly and ad executive Colleen Kelly, from Triptent, to present a $100,000 check to the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club’s executive director, Daniel Quintero, on Monday.
The check represented the amount of money raised by the Kelly Gang at its March fund-raising event at Michael’s Pub.
“We serve over 10,000 kids,” said Kips Bay’s Quintero. “We need that bubble. Thanks to support from the Kelly Gang and others, we hope to have it up again in January 2017.”
