Michelle Obama hit the campaign trail for Hillary Clinton Friday — only to encounter voters more eager to keep the Obamas in the White House than elect Clinton.
“It is so hard to believe that it is less than two months to Election Day and that my family is almost at the end of our time at the White House,” Obama said at a rally in Fairfax, Va.
“No!” the crowd screamed back.
“Yeah,” Obama said. “It’s almost time.”
“Four more years!” the crowd chanted, imploring the Obamas to stay in the White House for a third term.
“No,” a clearly flattered Obama responded.
“Let me say this. You have me and Barack working on your behalf for the rest of our lives. So no need to worry. We’re going to be here,” she added.
Obama spoke at George Mason University to a group Clinton has struggled to bring to her side — millennial voters.
Among voters 18 to 29 years old, Clinton’s approval is an anemic 33 percent, according to the latest Gallup poll.
