People don’t need to brave crowds or cold weather to experience what it’s like to be at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade anymore.
Verizon is livestreaming the parade on YouTube using a 360-degree video camera that allows the viewer to feel like they’re one of the spectators watching from Central Park.
The streaming started just before the parade kicked off at 9 a.m. on 77th Street.
Viewers can use their computer mouse or finger, if they’re using a mobile device, to move the camera around and get a full view of the giant balloons, marchers and stars on floats as they journey through Manhattan.
