City straphangers were treated to a blast from the past — and some even dressed for the occasion — as a vintage BMT train took to the tracks between Second Avenue in Manhattan and Queens Plaza in Queens on Sunday.

Queens resident Tiffany Knight and Inna Penek of Brooklyn got in the spirit by wearing their best period clothes to ride the old-fashioned F train — redubbed the S Special — which was complete with cushioned seats, ceiling fans and incandescent bulb lighting.

It also came with a Christmas wreath.

The train will run for the next three Sundays between 10:05 a.m. and 4:44 p.m.

It is one of a collection of subway cars dating from 1932 to 1977 on loan from the New York Transit Museum.
