A pack of teenage muggers punched a 56-year-old woman in the face in Central Park and then swiped her Gucci purse, police sources said Monday.
The victim told cops she was near the carousel at the 65th Street Transverse and Center Driver at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday when she was attacked, sources said.
The Manhattan woman told cops a group of four teenagers wearing dark-colored clothing punched her in the head and knocked her to the ground, where they kicked her, the sources said.
They snatched her purse and cell phone before fleeing.
The bag contained $500.
Police searched for the teens but didn’t find them, the sources said.
The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. She didn’t want to look at photos, cops said.
